Note: This procedure is applicable to the following Harley-Davidson CanBUS models:
- 2011+ – Current Softail models
- 2012+ – Current Dyna models
- 2014+ – All models except for VROD
If you are experiencing a rapid flash on your turn signal indicators and a red security light on the dash of your CanBUS Harley Davidson after converting the OEM turn signals to LED turn signals, you will need to perform one of the following LED Sync procedures:
Standard LED Sync Procedure
- Turn the ignition power ON (do not start the bike).
- Turn on the 4-way hazard flashers.
- Turn the ignition power OFF.
- Let the hazard flashers run for 1-2 minutes.
- Turn the ignition power back ON.
- Turn off the 4-way hazard flashers.
- Turn the ignition power OFF and then back ON.
- Check the function of both turn signals.
Secondary LED Sync Procedure (if needed)
- Turn the ignition power ON and start the bike.
- Turn on the 4-way hazard flashers.
- Let the hazard flashers run for 1-2 minutes with the engine running.
- Turn off the 4-way hazard flashers.
- Turn the ignition power OFF and then back ON and restart the bike.
- Check the function of both turn signals.
